Description of Mojito

Mojitos symbolize fairness, fun, being easy going and sociable. However, there is a dark side that tends to be flirtatious and self indulgent.

Brief Culture of the Drink

Historically the Mojito became popular in Cuba during the late 1920s. No one really knows why. Was it a reinterpretation of the Min Julep or a native concoction? We may never know. One thing we do know for sure is that it means "Little Soul", which must not be taken literally.

Variations of the Drink

Variations of the Mojito are many. From sticking bitters in it to brown sugar...both not standard on the "traditional" or "classic" mojito that we know and love. Are you a London Style Mojito with more citrus than mint or a Cuban Style Mojito...maybe you like a Mango Mojito or omegranate Mojito With Vanilla Sugar. I think the variations of this fun drink are endless.

Most Common Food Pairing
