Why do you need my personal information? We ask questions pertaining to your personal information in order to verify that you are of legal drinking age. We cannot allow consumers to become members unless they are of legal drinking age.
Why do you ask about my drinking preferences? We ask questions about your drinking preferences to get to know you better. Your information helps us personalize your experience at thebar.com – and bring you recipes and types of drinks that most interest you.

How do I get a username and password so I can log in? It’s simple, all you need to do is create a mybar profile. Your username will be your own email address, and you can choose your own password. If you’ve forgotten your password, click the “Forgot Password” link on any mybar login screen.
Why should I rate and review drinks? We use your ratings to help determine the top-rated drinks. And of course we hope you will rate and review drinks because we want to hear your opinion.
Do I have to register to rate and/or review drinks? No.
What is a spirit? Spirits are distilled liquors, such as rum, gin, vodka or whisk y. At thebar.com, we also occasionally use “spirit” to refer to all alcoholic beverages or alcoholic beverages in general.
How are the drinks under “Highest Rated” selected? The order in which drinks are sorted under “Highest Rating” are based on the ratings received from users.
How do I save a recipe, article or video? To save any of these items, you must first have a mybar profile. If you already have a mybar profile, click the “Save To mybar” button on the recipe page.
How do I remove a recipe, shopping list, article or video from my mybar profile? Visit “mybar” at the top of the page to remove any saved items.
When will my review appear once I’ve reviewed a drink? Your review for that drink will appear at least one week after you’ve submitted your review.
What is “Shopping List” and how does it work? Planning a party? Add drink recipes to your shopping list for a complete list of ingredients you’ll need at the store.
